Abstract
Algorithm aversion is an increasingly well-studied phenomenon in which consumers prefer to rely on humans rather than algorithms (or AI) for a variety of tasks. This talk will explore the extent to which concerns about AI’s potential impact on society contribute to algorithm aversion, and how such concerns interact with increasing incentives for consumers to rely on AI.
